You're Invited!

PARADE RULES:

1. Parade begins promptly at 10:00 AM, rain or shine.
2. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 AM; all entries must be set up and in place (including drivers and riders)
3. All motor vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver.
4. Absolutely no water guns, water balloons, etc. may be thrown or squirted from parade entries.
5. If items such as candy, gum, koozies, water bottles, pencils, etc. are thrown from parade entries.
*Please be aware that your entry/organization will be responsible for injuries that may occur from the outcome and the McDade Watermelon Festival Association and/or volunteers will not be responsible. We suggest your entry/organization may want to have someone walking beside your entry handing out these items.
6. No excessive drinking is permitted; no loud or vulgar remarks including profanity will be allowed from parade participants to spectators. Any report of this will be brought to the attention of the entry and possibly will not be permitted to participate in future parades.

We would like to invite you to participate in the McDade Watermelon Festival’s Grand Parade on Saturday, July 12th at 10:0 A.M.  We have the entry form, parade rules, and map below. The line-up is done the Friday before the parade so that information will not be available until Saturday morning at check-in.

Help us welcome in our 2025 Royal Queens Court! We look forward to seeing your entries so mark your calendar!

Entry deadline:
 Wednesday July 9th after that you will need to register the day of parade.
 Late entries will be placed at the back of the line up as they arrive so get those entries in!!!
 The line-up is done the Friday before the parade, so that information will not be available until Saturday morning.

★ Late entry- 7:30 – 8:00 am Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the registration table.

Parade Judging begins promptly at 9:00 A.M.
 Participation counts- Make sure your participants are in their assigned line up space and ready to be consider for award.
The parade starts at 10:00 A.M.
 Licensed drivers and participants must be in their vehicle and ready to move at that time.
Registration Table: Located at the corner of Waco & El Paso Street. All entries must check in the morning of the parade to receive their number and a map showing their line-up spot! A Spotter will be available to assist in locating your assigned number if needed.
