2024 Teenage Queen - Ellen Carroll
Thank you for choosing me to be your 2024 Teenage Watermelon Queen.
Serving the McDade Community has been an honor and a joy. I know when y'all choose your queens court, you are also trusting them to properly care for the float, represent the town and festival with grace.
I am ready to pass on my crown, and I hope the next queen will love this experience as much as I have.
I am also thankful that I will always have a home in McDade. I will always cherish the memories my year as the Watermelon Queen gave me.
2024 Tiny Tot Queen - Scarlett Munzer
Thank you so much for letting me be the 2024 Tiny Tot Watermelon Queen! I had so much fun wearing my crown, my pretty dresses, riding in parades, and waving at everyone. I loved getting to be a queen for McDade!
Thank you to my mommy and daddy, Cameron and Sarah—I love you so much! Thank you to my big brother, Peyton, for being silly and making me laugh. I had lots of fun with the other queens too—Ellen and my big sister Kassidy! You are the best!
And a big thank you to Mr. Dave and Ms. Jennifer for helping with everything and making the parades so fun. I will always remember this super fun year!
2024 Junior Queen - Kassidy Munzer
Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve as the 2024 Junior Watermelon Queen. It has truly been one of the most unforgettable and meaningful experiences of my life. I feel so incredibly honored to have had the chance to represent our amazing town and take part in a tradition that brings so much joy to our community. I want to give a huge thank you to my parents, Cameron, and Sarah, for always supporting me, cheering me on, and encouraging me to be my best. To my brother Peyton, thank you for always being there to help and making me laugh through it all.
I’ll always cherish the sweet memories I made with Ellen—we had so much fun together and I’m so grateful for our time as queens. And of course, a big thank you to my baby sister Scarlett for being my tiniest and cutest supporter—your smiles made everything even more special. I also want to sincerely thank Gina Griffith, as well as Jennifer and Dave Carroll, for all their love, encouragement, and everything they do for the Watermelon Festival and our community. Your kindness and support mean more than words can say.
This year has been filled with parades, smiles, friendships, and moments I’ll carry with me forever. Thank you, McDade, for giving me the opportunity to be your Junior Queen—what an honor it’s been!
